Hello, my name is Michelle Luce. I am a former senior at Plymouth State College’s interdisciplinary studies program. After taking two years off to raise my family and focus on my career, I am now a resident services coordinator manager at AHEAD, working with independent seniors and adults with disabilities in government-funded buildings. My job involves welcoming new residents, introducing them to our resident services program, and helping them access local resources.
I completed my dual associate degree in teacher education and liberal arts from White Mountains Community College in 2019. Following that, I enrolled in Plymouth State’s interdisciplinary studies program while juggling various full-time jobs. In 2021, I welcomed my second child, Sophia, into the world and took a break from school to concentrate on my family and work. However, I am eager to resume my studies and complete my bachelor’s degree at Plymouth State.
At AHEAD, my boss is eager for me to finish my degree and has agreed to allow me to alter my schedule to take classes during work hours. As a resident services coordinator manager, I am a collaborative leader dedicated to partnering with coworkers to promote an engaged, empowering work culture. I have documented strengths in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
At my job, I assist staff in navigating challenging situations and ensure seniors receive the necessary care and services. My critical thinking skills, people-centric nature, and eagerness to please have allowed me to develop excellent communication skills. I have a track record of building strong professional relationships and supporting residents. I want to finish my degree to grow professionally and take more responsibility at my job.
